Suma Sesame Seeds 5 kg : Very good product if you like sesame seeds

Despite buying these sesame seeds with a relatively short time remaining until the best before date (at a discounted price), i am impressed with the quality. The taste and texture is as good as any other sesame seeds i’ve ever purchased, and stored correctly in the proverbial cool, dark place i am sure they will be last a reasonable length of time. Sesame seeds are not very dense, so when it came to storing 5kg of them i required glass storage containers totalling around 8. 5 litres in capacity to fit them all in. I am sure that if you’re buying sesame seeds, you know all about their properties but if not then they are extremely high in minerals like copper and iron, and also to a lesser extent calcium, magnesium, manganese, phosphorus, selenium and zinc, all of which have various benefits. They are also relatively high in fat (but not saturated fat) and protein. The nutritional information included in the photographs with this listing is identical to that on the label on the bag, which is far from always the case. The country of origin is indeed nigeria, and the only ingredient is sesame seeds. For anyone with allergies, please be aware that in small print on the bottom of the label, it states: ‘packed in an environment which also handles nuts, peanuts, sesame seeds, gluten, soya, milk and sulphured fruits.

I’m pleased with this product. These seeds are as good as they come. Buying bulk makes the unaffordable affordable. Here are the specifications for the Suma Sesame Seeds 5 kg:

  • A nutritious ingredient
  • Can be added to cereal and used in porridge and baking
  • From Suma, a UK-based Ethical worker-owned cooperative

I find this sesame seed very good value for money compare with high street shops. For this price i would buy again and will recommend to friends and family.

A good quality product at a very economical price.

Reviews from purchasers :

  • Excellent quality
  • Very good product if you like sesame seeds

Very good product if you like sesame seeds. This is just the job for making tahini and with this amount you can make an awful lot. Just get a five kilo bag of chick peas and you’re in the hummus business.

Good product will use this company again.
