Sukrin Sunflower and Pumpkin Seed Bread Mix 1 kg : easy delicious paleo

We’ve been using this bread mix for months now. It’s the best gluten-free bread we’ve found, and i love the fact that it is low carb, so i can eat it, tooi mix 250g mix with 300ml water and put it into a round 8′ cake pan lined with parchment paper. Take it out of the oven and remove from the paper immediately (else it can stick) and let cool on a rack. This makes a round of bread that is about an inch thick. After it’s cooled, i slice the round into four pie-like wedges, and then slice horizontally through each wedge to make a top & bottom. Each wedge makes 1 sandwich. I put the pre-sliced wedges into the fridge until needed. My husband takes two sandwiches a day to work for four days per week, so i make at least two panfuls of bread each week.

I recommend this bread mix – it’s delicious. I recommend this bread mix – it’s delicious. Very nice flavour and is a little bit like a german bread. I mixed 250g of bread mix with 300ml of water and left it to stand for a few minutes. Instead of making a loaf i took a silicone muffin tray and dropped some batter into each space (250g makes 12 muffins) and baked on 175 degrees for about 30 minutes. My only gripe about this product is the price.

So easy to make and will buy again and again. Have also brought for friend. Especially if it stays at the price i paid. Here are the specifications for the Sukrin Sunflower and Pumpkin Seed Bread Mix 1 kg:

  • Sunflower and pumpkin seeded low-carb bread mix
  • Free from sugar, wheat, yeast and soy
  • Great taste and texture
  • No additives, preservatives or artificial colours
  • Gluten-free bread with only 1 gram carb per slice

Have fun experimenting with this. This is so much fun to experiment with. I make bread with it and yesterday i made blueberry muffins, adding yoghurt and almond milk to it.

Reviews from purchasers :

  • Highly recommended!
  • Brilliant low-carb bread
  • This is a really good bread alternative if you are trying to avoid gluten

Ignore the one-star review: i’m not sure what they did, but this turns out perfectly every time for me. 250g of mix, 300g of water, mix in a bowl, put into a baking tin lined with baking parchment and cook at 175 degrees for 70 minutes. As a diabetic, this stuff is a real liberation: one tenth of the carbs of other so-called low carb breads.

  1. Actually prefer it to normal bread from a taste perspective, shame it so expensive.

Tastes really good, texture spot on. . This is a really good and filling bread substitute. It freezes really well and the loaf slices without crumbling. The only fault is that it is outrageously expensive but for a breadaholic like me it is a lifesaver.

      1. One bag makes 3 breads that can. One bag makes 3 breads that can be frozen. I repeated my purchase several time. Taste great too if you like seeds.

Excellent but price has skyrocketed. Having tried tens of low-carb bread recipes i find this mix to be just about perfect taste and nutrition-wise. I bought a few a couple of months ago for £16. Unfortunately i will not be ordering again at this price.

      1. The only problem is that the temperature. The only problem is that the temperature on the instructions is too low. Instead of 175 i use 210 and then it gives a good rise and a lovely loaf.

It’s expensive for what it is, you’ll only get 6 really quite small rolls or one equally small loaf out of the mix- but the bread tastes and feels like bread. As someone with a very delicate tummy they are much easier to digest than many other low-carb bread mixes as well as really tasty, though you shouldn’t expect normal bread- adding too much water will ruin the dough and it really needs that time to sit and absorb moisture equally throughout the mix before you shape it into whatever you’re cooking. The end product is slightly more crusty on its outer layers and moist in it’s centre than you would typically expect, but if you find it to be too moist you can always toast it.Recently it’s gone up in price again so i would say it’s not worth purchasing right now, but this is a really simple and tasty low-carb and gluten free bread mix that is definitely not a bad choice for a little treat when you’re really craving that bread consistency. Personally i’d spend up to £4/5 + postage on this mix, but i am aware that for the size of the loaf most people would consider that extortionate and can only say in defence that a slice of this stuff toasted with coconut oil is my personal heaven. Worth checking out local health food stores to see if they have any in stock.

This is a really good bread alternative if you are trying to avoid gluten. This is a really good bread alternative if you are trying to avoid gluten and/or eat a low carb diet. The texture is quite different to normal seeded bread – it is much more dense, chewy and moist. I occasionally make sandwiches from it but much prefer it toasted, as a base for scrambled eggs or something like that. I make a 2lb loaf using 2/3 of a bag of bread mix – slightly lowering the cooking temp and increasing the time to about 80/90 mins. Once it has cooled, i cut the loaf into 20 or so slices, bag them in 4’s and freeze most of them. If you’re toasting them, this works fine. It is quite pricey per slice but it’s a price i’m prepared to pay for a “bread” substitute – max 1 slice a day. It is an acquired taste, so won’t be for everyone but if you’re struggling with a gluten-free or low carb diet, it’s probably worth a try.

Very easy to make and the lowest carb count per slice of any low carb bread i’ve seen. Don’t know what i would do without this. It’s very versatile and the box gives you ideas about what to make and how e. Obviously it’s not going taste like a slice of hovis but if you need to watch your carbs and are craving bread, this is pretty tasty. A no-brainer as far as i’m concerned. The only draw back is that the price has gone up on amazon so will buy from my local health food shop instead.

    1. Good low-carb-bread alternative. Purchased this bread mix out of desperation for a slice of toast on my low carb diet. I have since found an easier & more cost-effective alternative, however this remains a great tasting alternative to bread. I didn’t make it all at once, i made 2 batches a couple of weeks apart. Once the bag is opened, resealed, & stored in a cupboard it keeps well – i wouldn’t push it past 6 weeks though. The bread can be quite dense – the resting time before baking is crucial & i have learned to let it rest in the bread tin & not the mixing bowl. I have never gotten the bake exactly right – sometimes it’s a bit browner than i’d like & sometimes i need to bake it for longer than needed (which is already quite long 70 odd minutes).
