Much better than other varieties of cake lace i’ve used. Much better than other varieties of cake lace i’ve used, it dried quickly and was less sticky and easier to spread than some. I was in a bit of a rush and to be honest the mix was still a bit lumpy when i used it (i’m usually a bit lazy and go for the pre-mixes) but it still turned out fine.

Very different to what ive used before. It doesn’t dry great, it’s still quite stretchy which makes taking it out of a lace mat challenging, tho i guess it’s depends on what you want it for, paints on nicely tho :).

Very easy to use goes a very long way 4 layered. Very easy to use goes a very long way 4 layered wedding cake and loads left over with just one lot of mix.

Brilliant and easy to use product. Used two other makes of flexible cake icing with moderate success. This is soooo much better, easier to use and no left-over powder as ran out of the liquid. This is just a case of mix some sifted powder with water and go.Dries quickly and very easy to get out of moulds that i could not use before. Delighted with product and already brought another one.

I was able to achieve an excellent result by tinting with ivory colour and using to. Really impressed how this worked. Even using for 1st time, i was able to achieve an excellent result by tinting with ivory colour and using to create a ‘lace’ wedding dress for a cake topper.

Squires Kitchen High Performance Flexi Lace (cake lace for cake mats) 500grams : Great product, easy to use, works well every time, lasts a long time. I’m planning to buy another bag when this one’s empty but it will take a while, only need a small amount of this lace powder per cake.

  1. For a first timer, was jittery, but this was easy to use. Was easy to remove from mat. I must say that mats with fine/tiny lace designs are very difficult to remove. I’ll suggest lace mats with bold designs so as to pull out easy from mat.

  2. I noticed it’s better to bake laces a few minutes longer. Then it’s much easier to separate tyem from the moulds.

      1. Lace mix i have used and i am very happy with it. This is the first type of cake lace mix i have used and i am very happy with it. It is so easy to mix with only water needed. I did add a little extra water as i thought the mixture looked a little thick but it worked really well. One ‘batch’ from the instructions on the packet made enough to fill my large mat (3 rows of lace) 6 times with a little left over. I dried the lace in the oven and it turned out really well. I have also tried adding colouring to some of the mix which made the lace a bit more brittle so might need to be dried for a little less time but definitely worth experimenting with. Overall really pleased with this product and i would buy it again (but this one will probably last ages).

    Unused but seems easy enough to use. Quick delivery, unused but seems easy enough to use. Used for the first time 9/4/17 and it does work, first time user and i am very impressed.

      1. I played for days and once i develop a technique, the delicate icing lace came out well. I’ve got some from 8 weeks ago,stored in plastic tub, still flexes. Great for effective ,easy cake decoration. Hides all the blemishes too. Tastes a bit like mild cinder toffee to me.
