SPECIAL INGREDIENTS Special Ingredients Ultratex 1 kg, Highly recommend.

Arrived quickly i thought it sounded expensive but when i read about the quality of it what you can use it for and tried it you hardly need to use any its so concentrated , my gluten free baking is the best its ever been especially bread and pastry which i have been trying to perfect for a long time the only negative pity there wasnt some guideline instructions thank you.

I use this for gluten-free baking and it’s a perfect addition to my own flour blend.

Special Ingredients Ultratex 1 kg

  • Very fine powder. Readily soluble when cold or hot.
  • Gluten-free, multi-functional, highly dispersible instant thickening starch
  • Thicken juices, sauces, stocks, drinks to the texture of your choice
  • Ultratex is tasteless. Perfectly flavoured sauces gels or any liquid can be thickened to an ideal texture without compromise of flavour
  • Make perfect fluid gels. Create wafer thin tuiles by drying out gels made with Ultratex

Very happy with delivery times and product.

Great product and for a good price. Have use ultratex before from another manufacturer but i feel that this ultratex seems to work faster it thickens nicely as expected but it takes no time at all. Previously the one i have used before took a while to react and took more in the dosage as well. Special ingredients ultratex is quick to thinken and is obsorbed well plus gives a good gloss to sauces, soups and purres. Delivery was quick and well packaged.

Better than some whisks smooth. Product was as expected just what i wanted delivered on time and well packaged will use this supplier again.

  1. For sharon l who replied to my question; many thanks- i accidentally deleted the mail instead of hitting reply so i hope you see this. I will take your advice thank you- i’ve just made a batch of cakes so we’ll see how they turn out. Bread nextproduct review; am experimenting like crazy. Works great in sauces both cold and hot but that’s easy cos you can add until you reach the required consistency. Freezes and unfreezes (in sauce) well. Guess i’ll have to juggle to find the correct amount for cake mixes. I used 3 % today, seems fine but haven’t cut them yet. Arrived well packaged and in good time. Big pot, so should last a while.

    Works a treat to thicken any liquid substance of any temperature. Amount needed to thicken does hugely depend on the liquid and it’s sugar content. Add a little at a time and constantly mix. Sometimes you do need to be patient before you see a change in thickness. Big advantage is that it does not change the taste, odour or colour of the liquid.

    Far healthier and easy to use. Ultratex does exactly as was recomended, its use for thickiening sauces hot or cold instead of using large amounts of flour/butter/oil ect, is going to be part of our cooking ingredents from now on, far healthier and easy to use.
