Natvia 100 % Natural Sweetener Canister 200g, to sugar are expensive but I find this is good value and taste in baking and cooking is fine

Bought after watching an item on ‘healthier’ sweetners. Stevia is natural with 0 calories, unlike canderel etc which has 1-3 per equivilent. Tastes like sweetner, but better for you.

Great product and if you are watching extra calories. Great product and if you are watching extra calories, this one is for you. Doesn’t have that horrible aftertaste like artificial sweeteners. Be careful when baking – the temperature above 190 c reduces the sweetness, so make sure if you bake with it you do not exceed 180 c.

Great alternative for diabetes. Got these for my dad, while you can buy stevia at the supermarket these do taste a lot better. He loves sweet tastes and sweeteners in general doesn’t come close to sugar. Diabetes is not something you ignore and it works great if you want some in your coffee, tea etc and he said that its pretty much the same as sugar. You can use it for baking (so it says on the can) but mom hasn’t tried that yet, i’m a bit uncertain that it’ll the same as sugar in taste and texture. Dad wanted some cupcakes which i think will work out pretty good. But still, i advice my mom to try to keep the usage low in general. A bit more expensive but well worth it in the end.

This is the only sweetener i use. It’s exactly like sugar so you can sprinkle on cereal and such. I’ve used it for guests in their coffee / tea and no one has noticed a difference from the real sugar they’re used to.

Fantastic if not too expensive. Fantastic great taste would never go back to sugar. Don’t know why it’s doubled in price since my last order had to get it somewhere else i still like the product but have to look elsewhere for better deals.

Natvia 100 % Natural Sweetener Canister 200g (Pack of 4) : This stuff is great for making the occasional treat for the diabetic in the household. It’s great in cakes but i don’t think it reacts to heat the same way sugar does – you couldn’t make fudge with it for example. It has a lot less after taste than many substitutes and has 0 calories.

Have purchased these for a while now and keep coming back.
      1. Cant believe this is not sugar. This is the first time i have ever tried this product, after being diagnosed with diabetes. I have tried everything under the sun. I love my coffee and with any sweetener it has never tasted the same. I had a very sweet tooth and tool 4 sweeteners with every mug. I have just received my 4 tubs and tried one teaspoon in my first mug and all i can say is ” wooooooooo ” it does taste amazing in my coffee. I can’t believe that it’s not sugar, no aftertaste i my mouth. Looks like sugar and it tastes just like the real thing.

    1. The tubs were smaller than i anticipated. I like the fact it is more the consistency of sugar and not powder.

  3. Unfortunately they are quite expensive. . Nonetheless, i use it everyday: on tea, on coffee and it is great for baking too.

      1. This is my favourite sweetener and i used to use it daily. This is my favourite sweetener and i used to use it daily. Now that the price has more than doubled i can’t afford it. So with regret i must seek a cheaper alternative.

    1. Several months now and i find it is the best sweetener for sugar replacement. I have been subscribing to this for several months now and i find it is the best sweetener for sugar replacement. It is granular and can be used as a direct substitute for normal sugar in every way, even in cooking. I find it to be about twice the sweetness of sugar so use only half the normal amount. A tub lasts me around a fortnight for use as a sweetener in tea/coffee etc. I have not found any trace of aftertaste at all, as all other stevia products i have tried have a strong liquorice taste. This is probably going to be my permanent sweetening product from now on.

But you have to use twice as much of this to get the sweetness you get from other natvia. Ok, but you have to use twice as much of this to get the sweetness you get from other natvia products.

What an excellent product, just wished it came in bigger containers. What an excellent product, just wished it came in bigger containers. I do not like sweeteners, they all have a slightly salty taste to them, but i am on a low carb high fat diet, and a sweetener is called for sometimes. I do tend to use less than recipies state but that comes from the lifestyle that i follow, but i do do a lot of baking with it, and its a very good non salty sweetener with no carbohydrate or sugars value, no calorific value either.

    1. No calories, fine baking, but mild undesirable after-taste in hot drinks. . A sweetener with no calories and none of the harm that sugar causes?. It’s easily dissolved in hot drinks and works well in baking. I find that there is a taste that is not sugar in the sweetness that is like a non-food chemical. It’s not unpleasant during drinking or eating, but there can be a lingering after-taste that i do not like with hot drinks. I think that it may be also slightly sweeter than sugar and so i use slightly less than i would with sugar, probably three quarters proportionally. For baking, i substituted half the sugar for natvia and the bake was fine, slightly less light but there was no sign of the after-taste. I have quite a sensitive palate and think that the after-taste may not be an issue for most people.
