Just what i needed for malt loaves and great to get it in bulk, less expensive i am fearful than my regional shop.

Arrived instantly and was particularly as explained.Here are the specifications for the Meridian Barley Malt Extract 370 g:

Are not able to wait around to try out this it will be much better for me will inform more after i start out on. Can’t hold out to check out this it will be superior for me will tell extra following i get started on it like it not has sweet as the malt so it will be great for me.

Excellent solution, and an great price for the 6-pack. . Fantastic price for this six-pack of malt, but regrettably my parcel was in a little bit of a mess. 1 of the lids, even though sealed, experienced not been secured thoroughly, and therefore i experienced malt extract all more than the other individuals. Anyway, absolutely nothing damaged, and possibly pretty minimal reduction from the jar, just a quite gooey mess. I would not have to purchase this for a prolonged time now in any case. A wonderful malt extract-mouth watering in malt loaf.

    Use this instead of sugar for bread making. I use it for bread making thus avoiding the use of any sugar.

    Lovely malt reminds my mum of radio malt from her youth. . This tastes lovely and my mum can’t put it down. Meridian make the best by far.

      1. Not 100 per cent malted barley, mostly extract of barley. I thought i was buying malted barley. What i got was a jar that said it was an extract of barley and malted barley. I feel as if i have been conned. The labels on the jars i received do not have the word ‘natural’ on them as shown on the page but i am perfectly aware that, in law, this word has little meaning. I do not know if the jars that show the word ‘natural’ were 100 per cent malted barley or the same mixture that i received. I know that malting barley produces enzymes that have health benefits but i do not know how the ‘extract of barley’ was made and i am doubtful about the quality because the words ‘extract of barley’ come first, indicating that most of the product is not made of malted barley. The product also states that it comes from more than one country. I have searched on amazon to see if i can find any malt extract that is 100 per cent malted barley but this information seems to be conveniently missing. I thought meridian was a quality brand but it appears that they, perhaps like other uk suppliers, have succumbed to the food scientists to make a product cheaper by removing some of the quality.

  8. This is an excellent product which i bought primarily for using in a fruit bread recipe that my family love. Meridian barley malt extract is also great for eating straight off the spoon (not too much of it though as it is, after all, sugar) and my son puts it in warm milk for his children to help them get a better night’s sleep. It is a delicious malt extract and i highly recommend it.

      1. Product of good quality and very reasonably priced. Arrived as stated but one of the jars had leaked so a bitsticky sorting out. However, some swilling in hot waterdid the trick, product of good quality and very reasonablypriced.
