Clair bowman can make it glance so quick, it is not till you get the knack/dangle of. Clair bowman helps make it seem so straightforward, it’s not until you get the knack/cling of it, then after a few tries you make these wonderful butterfly’s, is it truly worth it. Indeed, it was costly, aggravating and i beloved each individual minute finding out how to do it. Important detail i learn’t have the oven at the appropriate temperature, i experienced to buy an oven temperature gauge, then i go fantastic effects.

You gotta be courageous and don’t give up. If you make a decision to order this cake lace mat, go ahead and treat your self to the ‘claire bowman’ lace icing combine. I tried working with a a lot less expensive solution (i preferred to make gold butterflies and dragonflies) and struggled to obtain the excellent that i envisioned (only succeeding on the seventh endeavor).The mat was effortless to use, but setting the product in the oven is not an choice to me, as the butterflies convert out to be rather brittle. Imho, very best depart the mat overnight to dry, as the lace is much more flexible, more forgiving. Wonderful cake accessories, when you get it right.

    Overall, very pleased with the results. I’ve used the mat a few times and love the how much detail & beautiful butterflies are. The only negative point is , i think the mat is quite thin considering the cost.

    Great mat – fairly large in size. Check youtube for directions to make the butterflies in 3d. Takes about one hour to make a mat of butterflies. They look beautiful when assembled.

    Beautiful results, air-dried the butterflies and got perfect results. Don’t muck about drying in the oven as according to many reviews, this can be very hit and miss. Its almost embarrassing how easy it is.
