Bacheldre Watermill Millers Malted Bread Mix 500 g : the best bread flour ever!!

Bacheldre Watermill Millers Malted Bread Mix 500 g : the best bread flour ever!!

The bacheldre watermill has transformed my bread making. Their bread mixes produce wonderful results – taste, texture, simplicity – all very satisfactory. If you make bread to last a few days you can freeze some of the bread as soon as it has cooled. When it is defrosted it is like eating just baked bread – new and fresh.

Very happy and buying another batch. I’m very happy with this bread mix, and i agree with the reviewer who says it produces a perfect loaf over-night. Tasty, beautiful texture and keeps well. Can’t imagine what other reviewer are doing to produce their poor results. I use a bread machine and have no such problems.

This is the best bread mix for me. Here are the specifications for the Bacheldre Watermill Millers Malted Bread Mix 500 g:

  • Stoneground wheat flour and all the right amount of ingredients to make a perfect loaf. This one has malted wheat and flour added for a lovely granary style loaf
  • Tasty and textured but not too heavy
  • Strong for bread making
  • Just add water
  • Enough to make 10 x 500 g loaves

I was looking for a bread mix that would be useful in two aspect,1) taste2) simple to make easy to add an extra loaf when needed if my usual bread flour subscription was another 2 weeks wait. It was difficult to choose when there are so manyyes- i recommend this bread mix. Its certainly flavoursome and just what i was looking for. Well done again bacheldre watermill millers 🙂 5*.

Everything about this order was perfect and the flour is producing very nice bread in my breadmaker, i am happy.

Reviews from purchasers :

  • back to my old one as this is the best I have had
  • Bacheldre Flour mixes
  • Best bread I’ve used

Absolutely excellent – used in a panasonic breadmaker. Couldn’t be more delighted with the result.

This bread is now the staple for my family. It tastes divine, occasionally we add some more seeds or some honey. It works with either butter or flora.

I also love the rustic crunch bread mix too. I have tried the white bread mix, but i’m not so keen on that, but that is a personal preference and nothing to do with the excellent quality of the bread mix. I’m using a vonshef bread making machine and whatever bacheldre bread mix i use, i have had consistent results time and again. They all go in on the basic setting for 3hours + 30-40 mins on “keep warm”. I use to add flora quisine/light touch but found 3tsp – (as per the instructions. That’s tea spoons(tsp), not tablespoons (tbsp) that other reviewers have had failures with) of olive oil was much better. Pro’s; consistent results, tastes really good and only takes 3hrs to make. Con’s; it would be nice to “mix ‘n match”, i.

This mix is very good, but to make it less dense, andd a wee bit cheaper, i mix two x 500g bags of this malted mix with one of the co-op’s own brand white mix. I add the water and oil to the 1500g of mix in a washing up bowl as stated on the packets, and mix with a big wooden spoon until it is stuck together enough to tip out and work by hand. I give it a good knead and stretch for about 5 mins, then put it straight into oiled loaf tins and cover with oiled clingfilm. (i only prove the dough once. ) then i put the tins in a pre-heated oven at halfway between 0c and 50c for about 45 mins. By then the dough is level with the top of the tins. I take them out and leave them on the worktop while the oven is heating up to 220c. The dough continues to rise and makes a nice domed top by the time the oven is ready.

      1. Fast, easy, reliable and good quality. I add assorted nuts/seeds and 3 tablespoons coconut oil. Then use a breadmaker to make a dough and then transfer to a bread mould for the final rise and oven bake.
